The 306 provincial-level "specialized, refined, and innovative" small and medium-sized enterprises in Ningbo have been shortlisted, covering a wide range of industries, including hard core manufacturing forces such as green petrochemicals, automobiles, high-end equipment, new materials, and key basic components. At the same time, there are also many consumer goods, special tools, information technology, and software service enterprises, reflecting the complete range of manufacturing in Ningbo and the vigorous development of Ningbo's digital economy and service-oriented manufacturing industry. In addition, there are also a group of software companies shortlisted.

From the geographical distribution of 306 enterprises, Yuci and other regions have become the top tier of provincial-level "specialized, refined, and innovative" small and medium-sized enterprises, with 51 each shortlisted, followed closely by 34 and 33 in Beilun and Yinzhou.

Last August, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of the third batch of specialized, refined, and new "Little Giants" enterprises. Ningbo added 127 "Little Giants" enterprises to the list, including 55 from the first two batches. Currently, with a total of 182 enterprises, it ranks first among non directly administered cities (excluding Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, and Chongqing).

According to the high-quality development plan of Ningbo's manufacturing industry during the 14th Five Year Plan period, by the end of 2025, Ningbo is expected to increase the number of specialized, refined, and new "small giant" enterprises to 600.
